January Newsletter

Hello, 2024!

As we jump into a new year we are busy thinking about beginnings. We know that “resolutions” can feel intimidating; here at ACE we’re using this opportunity for an annual refresh to consider projects and intentions that feel engaging, exciting and full of potential.

Read on for some of what we’re planning and sharing this winter and spring. No matter where you find yourself, we invite you to consider your “next best move”: is now the time to dive into that new business idea? Learn a new language? Brush up on your leadership skills?

Or maybe you just want to keep the party going! Join us on Wednesday, January 10 for a New Year Open House at Haven for refreshments, merriment and information about upcoming courses and programs at ACE and Haven MV.

We can’t wait to see what you do this year!

Are you considering a job or career in health care? Have questions about next steps, training, education or job opportunities? Join our Career Explorations Spring 2024 cohort program and learn from leaders and professionals in the Island health care community.

If you are interested in joining the Allied Health Cohort, or are interested in learning more about our Behavioral Health cohort starting later in the spring, let us know!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation ACE MV’s first Language Access Cohort will begin in January (Read the Vineyard Gazette article here). This cohort is designed to support bilingual English/Brazilian Portuguese Island residents towards certification and training in interpreting and translation.

Come learn about the Language Interpreting & Translation Spring 2024 cohort on January 17 at 5:30 pm at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. There will be a follow-up virtual session on Tuesday January 23.

We are currently enrolling Spring 2024 ECE cohorts in both English and Brazilian Portuguese. Learn more about these programs here and fill out a pre-registration form if you’re interested in signing up!

January 17 marks the beginning of the semester for our cohort of Bristol Community College Small Business & Entrepreneurship students. While this program is fully enrolled, go to our School of Offseason Survival page for small business workshops and courses!
