A culture of performance is a work environment where employees and teams are consistently motivated, empowered, and supported to achieve their best performance in alignment with organizational goals and values. Having a culture of performance benefits an organization through: increased productivity, enhanced innovation, higher employee retention, and improved outcomes. This workshop will include an overview of performance management process fundamentals including key components, steps, and implementation activities.

In this workshop you will:
Understand the value of establishing a performance philosophy, values-based principles, and standard ratings for your organization
Review a performance process best-practice example that includes review writing, calibration and promotions, and review discussions
Outline performance process implementation activities such as internal communications, manager preparation, and avoiding bias
This workshop is intended for Business Owners, HR Leaders, Executive Directors, Board / Committee Chairs
About the Instructor:
Virginia Barbatti is a management consultant with fifteen years of corporate leadership experience. Her core areas of expertise are strategic planning, talent development, and change management. She believes in the power of collaboration and is dedicated to creating inclusive cultures that foster innovation and empower a diverse workforce.
Prior to founding her consulting business, Virginia was an Associate Director at Wayfair where she held multiple roles in the commercial and talent organizations. She led a category management team, founded a supplier service function, and served as a talent strategy business partner. She previously worked as an internal consultant specialized in pricing strategy and business transformation for Stanley Black & Decker and other publicly traded companies.
Virginia graduated from The Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University where she earned a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and Design and a minor in International Business. She is originally from Washington D.C. and now lives full-time on Martha’s Vineyard with her family. She serves on the Board of Directors of Chilmark Preschool.
