Celebrating Spring Cohorts at ACE MV

As spring continues on Martha’s Vineyard, ACE MV is proud to celebrate the students, educators, community partners, and workforce programs creating new opportunities across the Island. From English language learning and healthcare career exploration to strengthening early childhood education, these cohorts reflect the power of connection, learning, and community support.

Thank you to everyone who continues to learn, grow, and build with us.

ESL for the Workforce Cohort

The ESL for the Workforce cohort is using the online platform EnGen to strengthen English language skills and open new doors in their careers.

Through guided lessons and independent practice, participants are building confidence in workplace communication and everyday conversations.

Students also come together in person to share progress, practice language skills, and support one another in a collaborative learning environment. These gatherings create meaningful opportunities for connection, encouragement, and growth throughout the program.

Family Child Care Network (FCCN)

The Martha’s Vineyard Family Child Care Network (FCCN) brings together local home-based childcare providers to connect, learn, and grow together.

During a recent gathering, providers joined librarian Hannah Burbridge for an engaging conversation about diversity in literacy and explored resources including inclusive children’s books, toys, and learning materials.

Through the FCCN, providers receive professional development and licensing support, small business resources, curriculum ideas, shared materials, and a strong network of peers and collaborators.

By supporting family child care providers, ACE MV is helping strengthen early childhood education across Martha’s Vineyard and creating nurturing, enriching environments for children ages 3 months to 5 years old.
