Building Trades is an umbrella term used to categorize a variety of jobs and careers related to home building, maintenance, carpentry, construction, as well as related technical fields such as electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors. Technical Trades and trainings refer to specific trainings and credentials that may or may not be related to building and construction. 

Throughout all of our Building & Technical Trade Pathways you’ll find an emphasis on RENEWABLE ENERGY. We are committed to providing our community and employers with the skills necessary to transition away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy sources. Through a partnership with Upper Cape Tech as well as the Regional High School’s CTE program we are able to offer training tracks that lead to the ability to sit for the state licensure exam to become a Journeyman Electrician.

Through a partnership with Contractor Success and Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, we offer an annual prep course for sitting for the Construction Supervisor License.

Hoisting 2A/1C Licensure Prep

Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. NO WALK-INS.


Our Hoisting 2-A/1-C License Prep & Renewal Course is a single 6 hour class designed to give the applicant all the information necessary to pass the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety Class 2-A/1-C hoisting exam.

2-A: This license is for the operation of an excavator and also allows you to operate a backhoe, front end loader and skid steer
1-C: This license is for the operation of a forklift, rough terrain telescopic handler (lull) and knuckle booms

About the instructor: Dan Eaton is a retired Massachusetts State Trooper and former CDL examiner. He is the owner and founder of All Phase Training, the first approved training facility offering Massachusetts Department of Public Safety’s mandatory Continuing Education Programs for license renewals.

·      Students must complete state application and sign-up for their exam at least one month before the exam. Please plan accordingly.

·      Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

·      Exams are held at the end of each month across the state.

·      The closest location is Taunton, MA.
